🎪 FANCY Teen Expo
What's the age range?
Our focus is on school age girls from kindergarten through college.
What do you guys do?
This is a free event that hosts 200 girls between the ages of 5-22. Local professional women and community advocates provide empowerment through seminars, panel discussions, and entertainment. Girls will have the opportunity to engage in discussion, interact with others to share their stories, and connect with community mentors and service providers. Outcomes include increased self-esteem, self-efficacy, knowledge, awareness, and guidance towards life purpose and direction.

Our 2026 Expo was held at KIPP Adelante Preparatory Academy

How do I sign up?
You can register on this website when we announce our 2027 dates and location.
How long is it?
This is a one-day, four-hour event that's usually held on a Saturday in April.
Can anybody go?
Yes, but the space had traditionally been limited to 200 participants. Please, check back to reserve your spot for next year's EXPO.
Is there a cost?
There is no admission fee.
What do I get?
In addition to all of the great information and the ability to connect with your community, you also receive a T-shirt, a continental breakfast, and a free lunch.
🎓 Leadership Academy
What's the cost?
There is a one-time Membership fee of $150 for your initial enrollment. After that there is a monthly fee of $50.
Where are the meetings held?
Our schedule is sent when the child is accepted. Meetings are either held at the Jackie Robinson Family YMCA or field trip locations around San Diego County. Transportation is sometimes provided.
How often do you meet?
We meet once a week at each location for workshops and meet 2-3 weekend days out of the month for volunteering, community events, college and career expos/conferences. There are many opportunities for additional activities, field trips, and special events throughout the year.
Do you provide transportation?
No transportation is provided for the Leadership Academy weekly meetings.
Are you still taking participants for this school year?
